The village rugs from around the ancient west Persian city of Hamadan, in mat, scatter, runner, long rug, and room-size. Lilihan, Bibikabad, Malayer, Mazlagan and other towns display local characters. Turkish and Kurdish villagers, mostly cotton, some wool foundations. Single wefted, coarse to moderate weaves. Semi-geometric. Very prolific weaving area.
