Unusual format for the tribal weavers in Sistan, east Persia. The near black field displays a six repeat variant on the allover Mina Khani design with rosettes in red and ivory. Deep rose border with rosettes and geometric tracery. Wide flatwoven ends with weft-float stripes and wider tapestry-weave rhomboids. Wool construction, medium weave.
