The soft tangerine field shows alternating, offset rows of short racemes and secondary flower devise. The straw border regularly intrudes into the field and shows swags, curled leaves and barbed acanthoids. Coarse weave on wool, thick pile. Good condition. Many Donegals are either in the Oushak style or display traditional Irish motives, this rare example avoids both and has its own special charm.
