Probably from the Rahimlu Qashghai suibtribe as indicated by the bracket and rosette main border, this SW Persian long tribal scatter shows an ivory and rust-red three diamond pole medallion, each section showing the characteristic "Qashghai gul". The navy indigo field is filled with bent leaves, rosettes and other small abstract forms. Wool foundation, medium weave, resilient nomadic wool pile in good condition. The Rahimlu weave some of the best rugs among the various Qashghai subtribes.
