The madder red field shows a medium scale allover Herati design, which supports the cartouche-shaped navy subfield with a similar Herati pattern and, in turn, presents a red, acanthus-cusped medallion with a green focal motif. Red main border with well-drawn reversing turtles, boteh-leaves and small rosettes. Moderately finely woven, cotton foundation. Attractive natural dyes. Firm handle. Good condition.
