The allover pattern of rosettes, palmettes, leaves and open diamonds, best manifested on Herat(i) carpets from Khorassan, usually in long formats (kellegi) of the 18th and 19th centuries, with soft wool and a characteristic mulberry (cochineal) red. Other patterns include the Mina Khani. No prayer rugs, no early scatters, no runners. Moderately expensive.
